ABOUT ME

Welcome to Jing Acupuncture, with me, Claudia.

I first discovered acupuncture at the age of 10, when after numerous trips to the GP and hospital, found nothing 'wrong' but I was still not well. I was missing school and struggling to function; nowadays I'm sure I would have been diagnosed with anxiety, but there wasn't a name for it then! Having ruled out anything 'serious', my mother took me to see an acupuncturist (thanks Mum!) and my life changed. I have since used acupuncture to support me from childhood into adult life, in tough times and as a maintenance to keep me healthy; I absolutely believe it's one of the reasons I don't seem to catch colds & flu!

I studied for three years achieving a Distinction with an Honours Degree Level Professional Licentiate, which is fully accredited by the BAAB (British Acupuncture Accreditation Board). This allowed me to achieve the highest educational standard for acupuncture in the UK, and thus I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (the UK’s largest professional body) - so feel assured, you're in safe hands.

'Jing' is one of the Three Treasures of Chinese Medicine (alongside qi and shen) and is known as a vital 'essence' in the body. You know that person who's strong, has great teeth & hair and generally sparkles? They've got great jing! Although partly inherited, it is said to be enhanced by living well and is directly related to vitality and longevity. Therefore, we should all be trying to care for and enhance our jing, to live well for longer.

I'm passionate about sharing this transformative treatment with others, promoting vitality and restoring your body's harmony, naturally.
